So you thought this thread was dead? You've never been more wrong!
Actually, this is just to let everyone know that we intend to include an "offline" or "batch" mode in AKKAR 3, right from the start. The way this is intended to work, you extract a copy of your database at some point, and then any changes you have done will be merged whenever you choose after coming online again. |

The translation was garbled in the e-mail I received way back when, but I sat down and fixed it up just now and added it to the subversion tree. Better late than never, right?
![]() It can be downloaded from here and dropped into the lang/ directory of any AKKAR 2.4 installation. If you're interested in making a new one for AKKAR 3 later on, let me know. It won't be for quite some time yet, but it's handy to have translators ready when the time comes ![]() |

AKKAR 3.0
We hereby bring the old squid back to life ![]() My development drive has been out of commission for quite some time, and as such very little have been done with this project since 2006. This is now at an end, and the development of Akkar 3.0 is about to get started for real. What's happening is, we're starting from scratch. All the old code and databases are tossed away, and replaced by new empty php-files and shiny new database tables ![]() So, when will it be done? - As soon as possible, naturally, but don't expect a proper release this side of summer, and probably not this side of new year either. You never know, but it's way too soon to estimate a release date at this point. Can I help? - YES! We can use help for most things. Me and Helge will be working with most of the coding and the design, but we dont' mind getting help for this as well. If anyone wants to conribute with anything else, feel free. We need things like: - Interface design and some purty graphics for this. Buttons and icons will largely replace the old text-labelled buttons, and someone's going to have to create these icons, or atleast assemble iconsets using existing free graphics from external sources. - Logo! An even like this calls for a new logo, don't you agree? We certainly agree. I say we, I mean I. If anyone wants to contribute with a logo sugestion five, that would be grand. All suggestions are welcomes with open arms. Or tentacles, if you prefer. - Suggestions! If you have any thoughts or suggestions to new functionality for Akkar - or improvements on the old functionality - let us know! We probably have much of this under control, but new ideas are always welcome. - Testing! Yes, it's a bit early, but eventually we'll need help to test this stuff. We would prefer to not release something that doesn't work as intended, both on new installs as well as installations upgraded from 2.x. - Other things? Most definitely. If you think you can contribute, chances are you're absolutely correct. Post in the forum, or send us an e-mail at akkardevel@gmail.com and we'll see about figuring something out. KALMAR - I think it's dead, Jim. Yes, it probably is. Kalmar - for those who remember that far back - was supposed to be a window into the Akkar system for players. This project is now put to sleep before it was ever released (it's been nearly done for a very long time, but the things that do remain will not get done unless someone else volunteers for the task). Akkar 3.0 will have this functionality "out of the box", so organisers can allow players to log on and do certain things defined by the organisers (se their own character, post feedback, download PDF exports, access group information - basically whatever the organisers choose to let them do). Where do i sign up? Right here! Or, if you prefer, in the Akkar forum on laivforum.net. And finally... AKKAR has a new web address, the new one is http://akkar.org/ (and http://forum.akkar.org/). The old addresses (http://akkar.info/ and http://forum.akkar.info/) will still work and redirect you do the proper sites. The same goes for http://akkar.net/ and http://forum.akkar.net/. |

Hi!
The button where we allow the suggested roles to our coming LARP-arragnement is not working. I looked at the code for the button and it looks quite messed up: (rollforslag.php) Code: <button type="button" onclick="javascript:window.location=" .="" visrolle.php?rolle_id="43&spill_id=1&overfor_forslag=yes";""> [in the web browser]I guess it should be something like Code: <td class="nospace"><button type="button" onclick="javascript:window.location='./visrolle.php?rolle_id=46&spill_id=1&overfor_forslag=yes';">Godkänn</button></td> Seems like there's something messed up with the quote-signs?Should I send a bug-report? |

It´s been over a year now since I asked if theres something happening at this KALMAR projekt, and since there almost only were a bit of testing (and fixing) left to do I wonder again. Is there anything happening with KALMAR and when can we expect it to be released (aprox)?

Hello! (writing in Engslish so everyone will understand)
I have installed AKKAR and everything seems to be working, apart from one thing: Swedish characters, å, ä and ö doesn't work in the html buttons. They work everywhere else, but in the buttons they just look like some kind of hyphen (-) but a bit longer. I tried to incorporate the role submission field in Drupal and found that then the Swedish chars works perfect, even though the site sits on the same server. See my test here: http://patriarkus.se/drupal/?q=node/37 (check the submit/"Sänd" button at the bottom). In the code for the drupal page I found this line: "<html xmlns="http://www.w3.org/1999/xhtml" xml:lang="sv" lang="sv" dir="ltr">" (sv for Swedish) I can't find anything similiar in the code of the frontpage of AKKAR. Is that the problem, and then, how do I add it? |
